mostly, i just use this journal for communities, photoshop resources, fanfic, icon/graphic, and photography junk. there might be an occasional personal entry, but my life isn't exciting enough to warrant and maintain both a personal and a graphics journal.

please, please, pretty please-
- no hotlinking. just save the graphic/resource to your computer and that's it.
- comment if you take anything. you don't have to give an exhaustive inventory of what you take. i just like to know where my stuff goes.
- credit as you pleasel. i'm not going to be a nazi about it.
- feel free to add to or change any of my icons. if you need custom alterations of any resources, leave me a comment and i'll get around to it asap.
- friend me. i like friends, and this journal is so new and lonely.

warning: adult imagery, humor, and language may be expressed at any given time in any graphics.

this is a gradient pack i made to use as a cooling filter for portraits as a companion to my suntan warming gradients. the regular cooling filters in photoshop use a flat blue color, but i like gradients because even the most subtle color changes can add a lot of extra depth to a photograph. filters help create the effect of coolness, night-time, moonlight, and also help even skin tones.

i'm sure most of you know how to use this stuff, but i included a mini tutorial as the preview graphic. by no means is that the universal setting for all of these. i know there are a lot of people who are just learning to dabble with photoshop and i just like to encourage bravely trying new things. remember to play with all your blending options, opacity and fills to get the effect you want. they can be used for all kinds of things, so have fun with it!

created in photoshop cs. unzip the .grd file into presets/gradients folder.

i can't make you credit me, but it would be nice if you commented if you take it. merci!

this is a gradient pack i made a while ago to use as a warming filter for portraits. the regular warming filters in photoshop use a flat orange color, but i like gradients because even the most subtle color changes can add a lot of extra depth to a photograph. i'm sure most of you know how to use this stuff, but i included a mini tutorial as the preview graphic. by no means is that the universal setting for all of these. i know there are a lot of people who are just learning to dabble with photoshop and i just like to encourage bravely trying new things. remember to play with all your blending options, opacity and fills to get the effect you want. have fun with it!

nothing i do would be remotely possible without the talents of these people. if you see any of your brushes, textures, or anything else uncredited in my work, please just kindly drop me an e-mail at on.thin.air [at] gmail [dot] com or comment and i'll list you. i've been bad at remembering where i've taken what over the years. merci! :)

yes, i do take requests!

my typical work schedule is seasonal, so i usually go off and disappear for a month traveling, and then have i two months of downtime where i work from home. i like making dorky web graphics to keep my brain functioning to some degree as not to get rusty. i also make photoshop resources in photoshop cs. mainly, brushes, gradients and textures that don't recall much freehand work.

turnaround will depend on how complicated the graphic/resource you need is or if i'm swamped with real life work. the easy stuff are color bars, banners, desktop wallpapers, headers, and icons. also, if you have any of my already made icons and you want it custom altered, just let me know. i can do simple animations, but as a general rule, i find them to be extremely irritating and i don't like to make them. they also take me a long time to do because i'm simply not an animator. i will make a layered *.psd file for you to give to someone else to animate, if i can't get it to work right.

fill out this form in your comment (which is screened only to me) with as much information as you can. whatever you don't know, leave blank or just ask.

graphic type: [icon? wallpaper? background? header? friends-only banner? other (please specify)?]
or
resource type: [photoshop cs is all i have, but if you need an image pack, i can supply that. brushes? gradients? textures? anything else i haven't covered?]
dimensions: [how big do you want it?]
links to images: [show me what pictures you'd like me to use]
color scheme: [main colors used in your journal]
text: [exact words. any other descriptives - including font links and colors if you know what you want.]
description of what you want: [the more you give me here, the easier it is for me. or if you just want me to go nuts, i can do that, too. but if you have something in mind, it'll make my life a lot easier.]

see? easy! and it's free.
